Where do I change program settings: interface, 3D view, toolpath preferences, and warning prompts? (Options dialog)

Opening it

Edit ▸ Options. Important: many choices only take effect after you exit and restart the software.

Window Layout

Controls what the program remembers between sessions: Save Tab Layout, Save Dialog Layout (size/position of Layer and Toolpath controls), Save View Layout, Display Splash Screen, Tab Location, and Top/Bottom Side Ruler Color for two-sided jobs.

3D View Settings

Shaded Background Style (Solid, Gradient, or Image) with Background Color and Gradient Background Color; Draw Origin and Draw Material Block startup defaults; Anti-Aliasing Mode (None/2X/4X/6X); Smooth Shading and Shadow Shading; Use Software Renderer for GPU trouble (restart required); Animate Camera Moves; and View Controls Mode, which switches between Modern Mode (right-mouse navigation, V12 style) and Legacy Mode (left-mouse, pre-V12). This last one is the fix when upgraders hate the new 3D navigation.

Toolpath Settings

Auto Open 3D View after calculation, 2D Solid Preview Color, Create 2D Previews, Select Sheet When Edit Toolpaths, 2D/3D/VCarve toolpath tolerance values (keep the defaults unless your machine vendor says otherwise), Maximum Toolpath Undo Stack Size (MB), Append Duplicated Toolpath placement, Check Depth of All Toolpaths, and Default Toolpath Filtering Mode.

General Settings and Confirmation Choices

General covers Recent File List Size, Recent Font List Size, Use Graphics Tablet, Show Clipart Subfolder Contents, Always Open Local Documentation, and File Dialog Default (Global/Operation/Job). Confirmation Choices tunes the warning prompts: vector-intersection checks, sheet toolpath deletion prompts, embossing suitability warnings, and whether to ask which product's tool database to download.

What is NOT in here

Two common asks live elsewhere. Measurement units (mm vs inches) are set per job in Job Setup, not globally in Options. There is no autosave toggle in this dialog either; crash recovery of open files is automatic (see the crash recovery entry).
